    Features of the Garden

    • Located at Presint 13.
    • Wetland Park area is 197.2 hectares.
    • Wetland area extends to 650 hectares.
    • Among the earliest parks opened in Putrajaya.
    • The park carries its own history as it officially opens in honor of Putrajaya as Federal Territory on 1 February 2001 and the park was inaugurated on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Ramsar Agreement on February 2.
    • The park was inaugurated on February 2, 2001 by Tun Mahathir Mohamad.
    • (The Ramsar Agreement is the oldest environmental agreement in which 18 states have agreed on wetland maintenance for human well-being and ecosystem balance)
    • 24 species of local freshwater fish are released in wetland areas including jelly fish, patin, pelage, eel, tamarind, belida and others.
    • Wetland parks are now a habitat for many aquatic animals such as oceans, pangling, spawning birds and many other aquatic plants.
