• Road, Drainage and Building Act 1974

Any offense under the Act and offense under any By-Laws that are made under this Act can be compounded not more than fifty percent from the maximum sum from the fine of punishable offenses.

If the person who received compound does not pay within the stipulated period, prosecutions will be proceeded.

  • Placing the vehicle off the traffic signal
  • Placing the vehicle on the walkway
  • Running a business without a license

Compound is a law enforcement mechanism whereby the offender is offered to pay a sum of money in lieu of prosecution in court.

Perbadanan Putrajaya has given the authority to issue compound based on a few provisions of law:

  • Road, Drainage and Building By-Laws (Compounding Errors) (Federal Territory of Putrajaya) 2003;
  • Local Government (Perbadanan Putrajaya) By-Laws (Compounding Mistakes) 2000;
  • Kaedah-Kaedah (Pengkompaunan Kesalahan)(Perbadanan Putrajaya) 2003;
  • Perintah Kualiti Alam Sekeliling (Perwakilan Kuasa) (Perbadanan Putrajaya) 2002; dan Perintah Pengangkutan Jalan (Peruntukan Tempat Letak Kereta) Wilayah Persekutuan Putrajaya) 2002.

Perbadanan Putrajaya (PPj) or Putrajaya Corporation (PjC) is a local authority that administers the Federal Territory of Putrajaya. PPj is under the Federal Territories Ministry of Malaysia, and is responsible for public health and sanitation, waste removal and management, town planning, environmental protection and building control, social and economic development, and the general maintenance functions of urban infrastructure. The Putrajaya Corporation is also the operator of Nadi Putra bus services, which operates in the urban areas of Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, Kuala Lumpur and parts of the Southern Klang Valley.
