    Compound is a law enforcement mechanism whereby the offender is offered to pay a sum of money in lieu of prosecution in court.

    Perbadanan Putrajaya has given the authority to issue compound based on a few provisions of law:

    • Road, Drainage and Building By-Laws (Compounding Errors) (Federal Territory of Putrajaya) 2003;
    • Local Government (Perbadanan Putrajaya) By-Laws (Compounding Mistakes) 2000;
    • Kaedah-Kaedah (Pengkompaunan Kesalahan)(Perbadanan Putrajaya) 2003;
    • Perintah Kualiti Alam Sekeliling (Perwakilan Kuasa) (Perbadanan Putrajaya) 2002; dan Perintah Pengangkutan Jalan (Peruntukan Tempat Letak Kereta) Wilayah Persekutuan Putrajaya) 2002.
    • Placing the vehicle off the traffic signal
    • Placing the vehicle on the walkway
    • Running a business without a license
    • Undertaking renovations without permission
    • Carrying out ground work without permission

    If the person who received compound does not pay within the stipulated period, prosecutions will be proceeded.

    Compound rates differ based on the types of offense and the legal provisions. Compound rates issued are formed based on the concept The more you delay the more you pay. Please refer to the table below:
