The Diamond Building, which is the headquarters of the Energy Commission is located in Precinct 2, Putrajaya. The Diamond Building was designed and built as a sustainable green building. Its unique shape represents an optimum design approach to achieve energy efficiency. The building is known for its diamond structure which symbolises transparency, value and durability representing Energy Commission’s role and mission as a regulatory body. Amongst the energy efficient design elements used include a tilting façade, a sunken garden area, optimum building orientation, use of photovoltaic (PV) panels and harnessing of natural light.
