Millennium Monument is located at Presint 2, Putrajaya, Malaysia. It is the first national monument built for the Federal Territory of Putrajaya. Under this monument was planted by Tun Dr Mahathir, during his time as prime minister, the time capsule to be released in 2020.
The Tower of the Millennium Monument is 68 meters high. The rise of the jungle-shaped ridge is divided into 4 connected fractions namely to illustrate the pre-independence era of Malaysia (before 1957), post-independence (1957-1970), Malaysia now (1971-2020) and Malaysia to come in 2020 and upward.
Seen from above, this tower looks like a Malaysian national flower that is a gold-colored hibiscus. On the highest platform, visitors can see nearby buildings such as the Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque and the Seri Wawasan Bridge.
At night the monument tower made of aluminum will emit a bright light like a lighthouse that makes it look more exclusive and beautiful.
